Scouting For Food
Troop 175 Scouts had a great time hanging up approximately 1,000 Scouting for Food flyers in Foster City! Scouts went door to door in groups placing flyers in many different parts of the city. Pinnacles Trip 11/16/24
Scouts arrived late on Friday night around 8 PM. The evening temperature dropped to 28 degrees, making for a cold evening. Intermediate Backpacking Trip 8/24-8/25
8/24-8/25 Scouts departed at 6:45 AM from the Foster City Library and got to Point Reyes at around 9. They began a 6 mile hike through forest and along the coastline and reached camp around 2:30. First Aid Campout 2/25-2/26
Scouts departed from the FC library bright and early on Saturday, at 8 AM, on a beautiful clear day. They had a smooth half an hour drive to Garin Regional Park. Huddart Park MLK Day Event
The MLK day event allowed Scouts to learn about invasive species and plants. There were other troops and outside volunteers who helped the project move along smoothly. Scouts weeded out invasive species to improve the environment and left the park shrubbery in a better condition.

San Bruno Mountain Volunteer Event
The San Bruno Conservation Project provided Scouts with tools to garden and plant. They improved the cleanliness and shrubbery of the mountain and its surroundings, With the help of outside volunteers, Scouts were able to finish the project 2 hours ahead of time.

Rose Pruning Event 1/6/24
Scouts participated in a Rose Pruning Event at the Foster City Recreation Center. It was led by the Rotary Club and Troop 175 was able to prune many rose bushes before they were transported to Farragut Park. Activities started around 8:15 and ended by 10:30.

Weekly Troop Meetings
Troop 175 and 4175 meet at Audubon Elementary School on Wednesdays at 7:30 PM-9:00 PM. These troop meetings are scout-led, where we focus on skills such as first aid, aquatics, shooting sports, or climbing.
