| Notes: | We will be riding the Amtrak Capitol Corridor from Hayward Station (HAY) to Sacramento Station (SAC) and back the same way.
Please purchase your own ticket for the roundtrip to Sacramento and back! Exact train times along with the Capitol Corridor online ticket purchase link are posted below. Unfortunately, the Amtrak website does not allow children tickets to be purchased without an adult ticket, so if you are 12 and under, please email me as soon as possible so I know how many tickets to buy! My email address is mcheng213@gmail.com. You can reimburse me at a later time. If you are (or will be) 13 and over by January 13, or are travelling with your parent(s), please buy your own train ticket. The ticket-buying interface is relatively easy to use, but there are a few points of confusion. Please remember to choose the Roundtrip option and enter the station names. Choose the Sacramento (SAC) station, NOT Sacramento (SCS)!! Your screen should look like this: (see image attached). Clicking the “NEXT” button redirects you to a page where you select the train times (listed below) and ticket prices for departure and return trips. Once you complete the transaction process, you will receive the ticket by email. We will pay for tickets to the train museum at the door, so please bring money with you. Ticket prices are as listed below. Signed activity forms are REQUIRED, if you can, bring them to the 1/10 Troop meeting. We will meet at FC Library for carpool at 7:45AM and leave promptly at 8:00AM. Target is for us to meet at Hayward train station at 8:45am. Do not be late, the train stops at each station for less than a minute! Deadline for ticket requests for 12 and under is January 10. If you do not email me by then, I will assume you are not going!
