The yearly trip to the Golden Gate Cemetery on Memorial Day weekend took place on Saturday May 25th. The event began with a glorious ceremony with a band and buglers. Our congresswoman, Jackie Spier, spoke to the gathering of hundreds of fellow scouts and adults. It was a moving experience and a day of remembrance to the fallen who have made the ultimate sacrifice. The troop distributed the flags smoothly with assistance from some Girl Scouts. The flags were placed in front of each gravestone. It was a chilly morning, but we moved fast and completed our section of the cemetery. (written by Michael)
