The weekend of October 3rd through October 5th our Troop will be delivering the 2014 living!LOCAL guide for the Foster City Chamber of Commerce.
You can view the digital edition of the guide here: http://www.fc-livinglocal.com/
Our troop has taken on the job of delivering the guides to every single family residence, condominium, town home and duplex residence within the city. We will also be doing bulk drop offs of the guides to apartment complexes or other locked residential facilities. This is a large undertaking, we will be delivering about 10,000 guides over the course of the weekend.
This event is a mandatory event for all Scouts. If you have a conflict, please discuss with your ASM. If you can not participate in the delivery at all, an alternate service will be provided for you to complete.
Most Importantly, we will need parent volunteers each day to help the scouting teams.
Because this is a high profile event all scouts should wear their Class B red shirts.
Scouts have been divided by Patrol into two teams:
Team A is Lightening Bolts & Crocodiles.
Team B will be Dragons & Rams
We will have a command post set up with volunteers who will coordinate delivery at the vacant retail space next to Penelope’s Cafe at the Plaza Apartments on the east end of Triton. All scouts and parents should report to the command post 15 minutes before going out to delivery.
Each morning maps with numerical addresses will be given out to each team.
Command Post volunteers will track delivery and progress on a master map.
Two Way FRS radios (2 per team) will enable to scouts to communicate with command post about progress or need for additional guides.
