We will be assisting the FC Recreation and Park again to spread mulch at the library habitat garden (Foster City Library, 1000 E Hillsdale Blvd, Foster City, CA) on Sat 3/27/2021 from 9am-1pm to get it ready for 04/01/2021 opening. There will be other master gardeners on site. We will be transporting mulch using wheel burrows, and the gardeners will spread it. We will try to separate as much as we can.
Please meet up along the walkway on Shell for a brief introduction. Sanitized tools, disposable gloves, hand sanitizer will be provided. Please bring your own garden gloves for protection, as disposable gloves don’t work well with this job.
This is hard labor work and will need extra help. There will be two shifts with the first shift starting at 9:00am and the second shift starting at 11:00am. You are not required to stay the whole time and we will appreciate any kind of help. We will need a minimum of 2 adult volunteers per shift for health check and overseeing during the event, as I will not be able to attend until later.
We would like to maintain the good relationship with FC Rec and Park for possible future projects when needed. Please sign up on TeamSnap so we can provide headcounts and for follow ups. Health check questionnaires via TeamSnap App prior to the event is required, or will be done verbally if not listed on TeamSnap. A temperature check will be conducted and wear your mask at all times.
