Registration is open for Nuclear Science Day 2017, where Boy Scouts can earn their Nuclear Science merit badge. The event will take place Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, in Berkeley, California. The day will be centered around the Advanced Light Source. This event is designed for youths in grades 8 or higher.

Please email me if you wish to attend. You need to be able to commit to attend. This is a very popular event and to be fair to all our fellow Scouts in the Bay area, we can’t have boys backing out at the last minute.

Our troop’s attendance is dependent on:
-possible lottery if they receive more registration requests than available spots, and
-troop adult(s) to accompany our Scouts for the full day (for every 5 Scouts, we need 1 adult to accompany those Scouts in the facility for the full day)

I will submit the registration, which must be done as a Troop, not individually. T175 Scouts who want to and can commit to attend should email me (Mrs. Bruckner – acbruck@gmail.com). Parents of those Scouts, please indicate if you are able to accompany the Scouts for the full day.

Please respond to me by March 16th, so that I have time to submit our registration before the deadline.
