Scouts departed Foster City Library around 9:00 AM and arrived at Henry Coe’s overflow parking lot. From there, they backpacked into the park and eventually the Blue Oak Horse camp. They were then taught how to orient a map, make a bearing, and how to measure the height of a large object. The night concluded with a fun campfire led by Austin and a night hike to the lake. The following morning, Scouts woke up at 7:00 and packed up. Once packed, they participated in a large orienteering course using the skills they had learned the day before. Following the orienteering, course, they backpacked out of the park and returned home.
