Three scouts and two adults braved the chilly weather to climb one of the ecological treasures of the San Francisco Bay Area. Although skies were clear, the wind got stronger as we scaled the summit and after two hours of steady hiking we made it to the top and had our lunch. On another day we might have explored longer, but due to the strong winds and cold weather we only spent about 20 – 30 minutes at the summit before heading down. Everyone did a great job and I was proud of the boys for persevering to the summit. The climb was quite difficult, but everyone had fun. I want to extend a big thank you to Mrs. Reichmuth for assisting me with this event. ~ Chris Chan
