Friday – Sunday Feb 1 – 3, 2013
Our destination for our winter adventure was Pinecrest California with Ski and Snowboarding at Dodge Ridge Ski Area. This was a family event with eighteen scouts and adults in attendance. We lodged at Camp Sylvester, which is a 4H camp that can accommodate groups from 20 to 100 people! The boys were put into two groups to take responsibility for meal preparation and clean up.

On Saturday we woke up early so that we would have plenty of time to enjoy the slopes. The group was divided between skiers and snowboarders, and many took lessons. With the exception of one mishap everyone had a great day of skiing and/or snowboarding. On Sunday we also got to do some sledding before heading home. We look forward to returning next year for more fun in the snow.
