There are (2) Whitewater Trips:
(1) This “Middle Fork” trip leaves Friday afternoon ~ 4:00pm on June 4th and returns Sunday afternoon, with two nights of camping. This is the more intense Class 3-4 portion of the river and has a minimum age requirement of (14) years old. It’s recommended that you rafted previously or are a strong swimmer for this trip. The slightly less intense 3+ trip will be in the same camp and meet up on Saturday afternoon.

The Middle Fork American River (Tunnel Run) is an 18-Mile, Class III-IV section of river. Rich in gold rush nostalgia, and blessed with breathtaking beauty, the Middle Fork American River is located in the heart of the Tahoe National Forest, it winds its way through a deep and remote canyon with its emerald green water.

Duration: Approximately 10:00am – 4:00pm
(2) This “South Fork – Gorge” trip leaves early Saturday morning ~ 7:30am and returns Sunday afternoon, including one night of camping. This is the beginner/moderate Class 3 portion of the river and suitable for strong swimmers at least 9 years old. The more intense class 4 trip, arrives the previous evening, is limited to those 14+ and has camped for 2 nights.

American River White Water Rafting in the heart of the Gold Rush country. The South Fork of the American River is the most popular river in California, and for good reason. Ideal for groups, families or first-timers, exciting class 3 rapids alternate with calm stretches for practicing new skills or enjoying a swim. Cascading its way from the Sierras and flowing through the town of Coloma, where gold was discovered in 1848, the river tumbles through beautiful scenery rich with history and wildlife.

Take-out: ~3:30 pm
Back at camp: ~4:30 pm
For both trips, Scouts will sleep in their own tents, families separate. Boats will be mixed. Additional details regarding Covid protocols TBD.
