Welcome to Troop 175 & Troop 4175!
Troop 175 and 4175 are high-adventure troops. We have backpacked at Philmont in New Mexico, hiked a glacier mountain in Alaska, mountain biked at Santa Catalina Island, and snorkeled the coral reefs of the Florida Keys. We have a variety of activities including camping, rock climbing, backpacking, kayaking, canoeing, and white water rafting. We are scout-led troops, where the scouts plan the outings and activities and run the troop meetings. We work on outdoor skills, cooking, first aid, life savings, and most importantly making memories and building life-long friendships. Both troops meet weekly at Audubon Elementary School on Wednesdays from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Hope to see you at our next meeting!
Pioneering Day Event – February 10th 2024
On February 10th, Scouts BSA Troop 4175 will be hosting a Pioneering Day event, along with Troop 175. From 3 – 4 pm, prospective scouts and their interested families are welcome to come to Boothbay Park. Join us to walk on a monkey bridge that the scouts will be making directly from rope. If you would like a fun experience that will give you a glimpse into the scouting journey, this is the perfect event for you! If you have any questions, please reach out to Jeremy Wright (jeremy@myteamwright.com) for more details. Troops 4175 and 175 hope to see you there!
Cooking Competition
Date/Time: Friday-Sunday, November 17-19, 2023 ·
Location: Garin Regional Park
The Cooking Competition Campout is an annual event for the troop. Different patrols are judged on their breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. There are prizes for 1st-3rd place(including bragging rights)! This competition decides which patrol in the troop are the best camp cooks. It was extremely close this year. It rained constantly throughout the campout, so it was also a very good experience for most of the scouts.
